In February 2023, I will resume my quest to complete the Explorers Full Grand Slam by undertaking a Polar Traverse training in Norway! 🗺 Having climbed the highest summit 🏔 in each of the seven continents between 2012 and 2019 (the Seven Summits), I have now set my mind to reach the 2 Poles 🌍 creating awareness and impact every step of the way! In order to accomplish this mission; the 911 km ski traverse of Antarctica from coast to pole, I am hoping to raise $200,000 to fund the expedition by Nov 2023 and support the causes that I believe in: Education, Mental Health and most importantly Planet Earth. mother and son trying to rebuild and plant a self-sufficient little farm, raising farm animals and bees. our main and only source of water has been contaminated by waste and garbage, which needs urgent cleaning before winter rain and snow. the farm will be exclusively operating on solar and water power, and all the plantations will be organically grown. تطلق جمعية درب عكار حملة التبرع السنوية لصالح فريق درب عكار لمكافحة حرائق الغابات والانقاذ، آملين في الوصل الى الهدف المنشود بتأمين الحدّ الادنى من تكاليف التشغيل والصيانة لتلبية مهام مكافحة حرائق الغابات ضمن محافظة عكار وأي منطقة اخرى تحتاج المساندة. علماً ان هذه التكلفة تقدر بحوالي 15000$ سنوياً. وقد اعدّ الفريق خطة متكاملة كما في كل سنة، بالامكان الاطلاع عليها عبر الرابط ادناه: The Akkar Trail Association launches its annual donation campaign for the benefit of the Akkar Trail Team for Forest Fire Management and Rescue operations. We hope to achieve the desired goal by securing the minimum operating and maintenance costs to fulfill the mission of fighting forest fires in the Akkar province and any other region in need of support. Every day, thousands of people use the Sahel Jdeideh highway connecting Zgharta to Ehden. It is a vital road for families, workers, students, and emergency services. When night falls, the road becomes dangerously dark. Due to the lack of proper lighting, visibility is extremely poor, leading over the years to: Serious car accidents Multiple fatalities Severe vehicle damage caused by unseen potholes and road hazards Many of these accidents were preventable. Why This Project Matters This initiative is not about comfort. It is about safety, dignity, and protecting lives. Installing proper solar-powered highway lighting will: Reduce accidents and fatalities Improve night and fog visibility Protect daily commuters and emergency responders Provide a sustainable, energy-efficient solution with low long-term operating costs What We Are Raising Funds For All funds will be used exclusively for: Supplying and installing solar highway-grade lighting poles Required electrical and safety infrastructure Installation and compliance with safety standards Basic maintenance to ensure long-term functionality Transparency Commitment This is a community-driven, non-political initiative.
